Cost Example:

• The Eagle II Std. Package Price in 8x8 "D" Full log is $90,228 plus tax of $4,962.00 for a total of $95,190.00.
   
• Let's start with the building permit. $1,500.00 is pretty common, the price can range from $25 to $6,500.
   
• To dig and backfill your basement will cost about $2,500.00. If you are in rock or clay, it will be more. Tree removal will also be extra.
   
• Most concrete basements with footings and foundation insulation for both the house and garage will be around $14,000.00. Drain tile will add more, if your lot requires it.
   
• This is a full log home, but the interior partition walls still need wall covering like knotty pine or spruce tongue and groove and drywall. Typical costs for these will vary, but lets figure $3,502.00. (Remember, T&G for the vaulted ceiling is in the package).
   

• $3,500.00 was the plumbing figure including water heater. Remember the fixtures, tub, sinks, stainless steel kitchen sink, faucets, etc. are in the standard package price.
   
• The heating and central air unit and labor $6,900.00.
   
• Electrical labor and materials were $7,500.00. Remember we included a $850 lighting allowance for light fixtures in the standard package.
   
• We have a $2,000 wood flooring allowance in the package, but you will still need to purchase an additional $5,920.00 more in carpet, tile, etc.
   
• The labor to stone the fireplace is $3,500.00. If you eliminate the outside stone chimney you will save approximately $2,000.
   
• The general carpenter labor should cost $46,000.00. This could be high or low depending on your area, and how much you want to do yourself. We are finding "shell only" labor to be about $24,000.
