Old Fashion Farm House Apron Sink
Apron Sink In A Golden Eagle Log Home This sink was featured in the Country's Best Log Homes Magazine 2005 Showcase Log Home. This sink style is an apron sink. They are often referred to as farm house sinks as well. Far too often homes are built with the same ol´ standard stainless steel drop in sinks. By upgrading your sink to a more "classically inspired" sink, your kitchen just moved up several notches in style points.

Log Home Kitchen By Golden Eagle Log Homes
Log Home Kitchen By Golden Eagle Log Homes This kitchen is a part of Country's Best Log Home Magazine's 2005 showcase home. The large cooking island provides enough space for family cooking projects and entertainment, yet the style of the cooking island allows the focus of the kitchen to be on its beauty.

Butcher Block Cook Top Island In A Golden Eagle Log Home
Country´s Best Log Home Magazine´s 2005 Showcase Log Home - Kitchen: Butcher Block Cooking Island Pictured is an extra thick butcher block cooking island. This cooking island has a large storage space, ample prep surface, and an industrial style range top. A neat feature is the ventilation system that is placed in front of the stovetop. This ventilation system rises from the island when needed and retracts back into the counter to allow ample space.

Kitchen Dining Area
Golden Eagle Log Homes Double Eagle Deluxe Floor Plan Kitchen Dining Area This is one view of our Double Eagle Deluxe model home located in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin at our corporate headquarters. In the last slide we spoke of open design. This photo is another great example of an open design. We entertain hundreds of guests when we have events at our headquarters. The openness of this floor plan makes it easy for our guests to get around and mingle. This floor plan is one of the most popular of our floor plans we have. And for good reason.

Hand Hammered Copper Apron Sink
Hand Hammered Copper Apron Sink In A Golden Eagle Log Home Another great looking apron sink is a hand hammered copper sink with matching antique style copper faucet and soap dispenser. This cooking island just would not look the same without this stylish addition. It is amazing how such a minor expense can raise the perceived value of your log home.

Notice how apron sinks install below the counter top. This is great when cleaning the counter top. You can just slide things right off the counter into the sink.

Western Theme Kitchen
Western Theme Kitchen In A Golden Eagle Log Home This is a different angle of the kitchen featured in the last photo. Notice the antique hutch and the sturdy wrought iron stools. Also take note of the openness of the kitchen and dining area. This is an important thing to look for when designing your log home if you intend on entertaining guests. It makes it a lot easier for you and your guests to move around the space.

When designing an open space floor plan, walls should only be used to contain noise or to provide privacy. Allowing an open space floor plan not only makes a home look much larger, it also allows for better air flow.
