Interior of the Lakeside Log Cabin
Let’s take a look at the lake log cabin interior, starting with the main floor.
- Great Room: As you enter the lakefront log cabin, the feature wall draws your attention, and you get a perfect view of the lake. The large windows allow natural light to flow throughout the open floor layout, and cathedral ceilings enhance the space. The feature wall has windows that are trimmed out with large 12-inch-wide logs that make quite the statement. The use of reclaimed wood on the ceiling adds a nice contrast to the other wood in the great room, and there is a darker finish on the wood floors. Chandeliers add a sense of luxury to this lake log cabin. A large stone fireplace with a 10-foot-wide chaise is another focal point. A loft up above offers visual interest as well with beautiful wood craftsmanship. The great room leads into the dining room.
- Dining Area: A large picture window allows light to shine through and provides no obstructions to the view outside. This dining room area has wood walls and a beautiful table.
- Three-Season Room: This lakeside log cabin has a three-season room off the dining room. Sliding doors lead to a cozy space with windows all around. There is a sitting area, a TV, and a stone fireplace. A door on the side of the three-season room leads to the deck.
- Kitchen: The kitchen is part of the open floor plan in this lakeview log house, connecting to the dining area and the great room for the perfect gathering space. The gorgeous island draws your attention, as it’s over 12 feet wide. There is plenty of seating on the back of the island, and there is extra storage space. The homeowners chose rustic alder cabinets with wood knots, and the rich brown colors tie into the flooring. The 48-inch-wide oven range and hood make a statement in this stunning kitchen. The pot filler near the oven range matches the Venetian bronze sink faucet. Granite countertops tie in perfectly with the dark finish on the cabinets. The custom cabinetry was made to fit perfectly with the appliances. Lighting was strategically added under the range hood, cabinets, and above the island.
- Master Suite: The master bedroom in this lake log cabin features different wood finishes on the perimeter of the walls, such as logs, reclaimed wood, and planking. There is a reading nook area with a gas fireplace and an incredible walk-in closet with organizers. Off the master bedroom, there is a patio door that gives you access to the lake. The en-suite bathroom has two sinks with beautiful countertops and an extra-large mirror. Tall linen cabinets are situated on either side of the vanity for additional storage space. There is a lower height space for a makeup vanity built into the countertop. The shower has a great combination of colors, dark and light, aligning with the tile on the floor and brown tones in the vanity. A private powder room separates the toilet from the rest of the bathroom for additional privacy.
- Guest Bathroom: There is a guest bathroom on the main level of the log cabin lake house near the garage and the common space. This vanity is a bit more decorative since there doesn’t need to be as much storage space in the guest bathroom. A dark bronze channel faucet enhances this space. Double hung windows allow for ventilation and natural light.
- Foyer: The main entryway of the lake log cabin is located at the center of the home and features a tongue and groove wall finish and an eight-foot-tall door. As you walk in, there are closet doors to the side, an orb chandelier above, and direct access to the lower level and the loft. You also get a glimpse of the incredible feature wall from the moment you set foot into the lakeside log cabin.

- Loft: This space has incredible gable windows that let in natural light. Up in the loft, you have a closer view of the gorgeous reclaimed ceiling finish. The log beams on the inverted trim add character to the space. There is a family room area with a TV, a place for games and puzzles, and on the other side of the loft, there is a home office space, with stained glass windows and the perfect view of the lake.
- Bunk Room: The area above the garage is used as a bunk room and has three beds, perfect for when nieces and nephews or grandkids visit. Kids will love this space with its own refrigerator, microwave, a game table, and plenty of storage.
- Full Bath: This full bathroom in the lakefront log home has a combination of wood planking and drywall with open shelving and live-edge pine slabs.
- Guest Suite: On the other side of the loft, there is a guest bedroom and bathroom that follows the same footprint as the master bedroom on the main level of the lake log cabin. There is a sitting area in the gable dormer, and this suite has its own walk-in closet. The bathroom has different finishes than the other bathrooms in the lake log home, with great symmetry with the cabinetry. A large mirror and the vaulted ceiling make this space feel open and airy. The tile colors tie into the cabinetry, and sheetrock is used on the ceiling and walls.
