Big Sky Floor Plan

The Big Sky is a luxury log home floor plan of truly extraordinary scale; a custom estate conceived without compromise and designed for those who understand that the finest expression of custom log home living is one where absolutely nothing is held back. At nearly 9,829 square feet without the lower level and an awe inspiring 17,143 square feet with the optional walkout basement, the Big Sky is among the most magnificent large log homes available anywhere, a masterwork of architectural ambition and refined craftsmanship that commands attention from every vantage point. This is not simply a home. It is a statement of how life at the highest level is meant to be lived.

The first floor sets an immediate tone of grandeur, anchored by a great room of exceptional presence, three distinct dining areas, and a beautifully designed pantry and laundry zone that brings effortless elegance to everyday living. The first-floor primary suite is a private world unto itself, occupying a footprint of such generous proportion that it stands as a destination unto itself, appointed with the kind of spa caliber luxury that transforms the morning routine into a genuine indulgence. The four stall garage, carrying the remarkable equivalent of seven and a half stalls of square footage, accommodates even the most impressive vehicle collections with ease and distinction.

The second floor unfolds with generous loft spaces, additional bedrooms and bathrooms, and a fully independent apartment perfectly suited for extended family, a private caretaker, or live-in staff, a level of thoughtful planning that reflects the true sophistication of this luxury log cabin home plan. The optional lower level elevates the experience further still, introducing a private home theater, a dedicated shooting range, a world class fitness center, and an entertainment zone complete with a fully appointed pub and game room. With 5 bedrooms and 7 to 10 bathrooms depending on configuration, every inch of this estate has been conceived to deliver an unparalleled standard of living.

For those who envision a custom dream log home floor plan where grandeur, craftsmanship, and an uncompromising luxury log home design converge at the highest possible level, the Big Sky delivers with a confidence that is simply without equal. Available in traditional log construction as well as timber frame construction and additional building styles, and endlessly customizable to suit the most discerning personal vision, the Big Sky is the ultimate realization of what a luxury log home can be.

Big Sky Floor Plan FAQs

The Big Sky does not show a basement. Can I get this home with a basement (lower level)?
Yes. Adding a basement is quite simple. And, the added benefit of adding a basement is that it increases your square footage with minimal cost. If you think about it, all you are doing is adding a little more to the foundation and a few support walls and you have nearly doubled the square footage.

I like the Main Floor (first floor) of the Big Sky floor plan. But, I don't need a Loft (second floor) can I get a version without the loft (second floor)?
Yes. We can easily remove the loft, second floor, or a mezzanine. Thereby, converting the home to a ranch style home. (It may reduce the cost of the home as well.)

Can I make changes or customize the Big Sky floor plan to add some features that I would like?
This is where we excel... All of our plans can be modified to meet your design goals. Every log and timber home we sell is custom tailored to your specific wants and needs. In fact, you could give us a hand drawn floor plan and we can engineer the plan specifically for you. Plans on our website are just starting points. Every home we sell ends up being a custom home.

What Construction Styles are available for the Big Sky floor plan.
The Big Sky floor plan above is shown as a Traditional Log Home Package (square timbers, full/round-log, half/round-log, and more). However, we can also offer this plan as any of the following construction types (also referred to as packages):

I like this floor plan. However, I would like it flipped the other way around. Can it be flipped?
Absolutely! All of our floor plans are able to be flipped or rotated in any orientation to match the property, sun exposure, and your personal preferences.

Can I remove the attached garage from this plan?
Certainly! We can easily remove the attached garage from the Big Sky floor plan. (It may reduce the cost of the home as well.)
