Texas Timber Floor Plan

The Texas Timber is a large luxury log cabin home plan of exceptional scale, dramatic presence, and deeply satisfying livability, a residence that earns its bold name with an architectural confidence and abundance of amenity that is immediately apparent from the moment you arrive. With a massive great room of soaring tall ceilings, two sunrooms, an impressive gourmet kitchen with a commanding kitchen island, a grand stone fireplace, a first-floor primary suite of genuine distinction, first floor laundry, and 61 professionally photographed real world examples documenting the full magnificence of this plan in finished form, the Texas Timber is a luxury log home floor plan that delivers on every promise it makes and then some. This is custom log home design executed with the scale, substance, and soul that the name demands.

The open concept great room, kitchen, and dining areas flow together with a natural warmth and architectural richness that creates a central gathering space of truly impressive proportions, anchored by a massive stone fireplace that commands the room with the kind of authentic rustic grandeur that only genuine log construction can provide. Two sunrooms extend the living experience with versatile and beautifully appointed additional spaces that adapt gracefully to a four seasons entertaining room, a formal sitting area, a home office, or any personal use that reflects the lifestyle of the homeowner. The first-floor primary suite is a private sanctuary of genuine luxury, featuring a beautifully appointed primary bathroom, a private study, and a walk-in shower of exceptional tile work, all finished at the high standard that defines every corner of this remarkable rustic log cabin home.

The upper loft level offers a beautifully composed sitting area and two generously appointed loft bedrooms each with their own distinctive character that makes this already outstanding large log home floor plan one of the most complete and deeply livable designs in the Golden Eagle Log and Timber Homes collection. The optional lower level introduces a family room of exceptional warmth, a kitchenette, an additional bedroom, and direct lakeside access that transforms this already remarkable home into a fully self-sufficient multigenerational home floor plan of enduring quality and flexibility.

The Texas Timber is available in two versions, nearly 3,500 square feet without the lower level, or an expansive footprint of over 5,000 square feet with the optional walkout basement, with 3 bedrooms to 5 bedrooms and 3 to 4 bathrooms depending on configuration, and a two-stall garage carrying the footprint of two and a half stalls. For those who seek a luxury log home floor plan where grand scale, exceptional amenities, authentic log craftsmanship, and an open concept living experience of genuine depth and character all come together without compromise, the Texas Timber is a truly outstanding and deeply compelling dream home floor plan. Available in traditional log construction, timber frame construction, barndominium construction, as well as additional building styles, and fully convertible to a ranch style log home plan by removing the loft, the Texas Timber is one of the most celebrated and admired large log home designs in the entire Golden Eagle Log and Timber Homes collection.

Texas Timber Floor Plan FAQs

I like this floor plan. However, I would like it flipped the other way around. Can it be flipped?
Absolutely! All of our floor plans are able to be flipped or rotated in any orientation to match the property, sun exposure, and your personal preferences.

Can I remove the attached garage from this plan?
Certainly! We can easily remove the attached garage from the Texas Timber floor plan. (It may reduce the cost of the home as well.)

The Texas Timber does not show a basement. Can I get this home with a basement (lower level)?
Yes. Adding a basement is quite simple. And, the added benefit of adding a basement is that it increases your square footage with minimal cost. If you think about it, all you are doing is adding a little more to the foundation and a few support walls and you have nearly doubled the square footage.

I like the Main Floor (first floor) of the Texas Timber floor plan. But, I don't need a Loft (second floor) can I get a version without the loft (second floor)?
Yes. We can easily remove the loft, second floor, or a mezzanine. Thereby, converting the home to a ranch style home. (It may reduce the cost of the home as well.)

Can I make changes or customize the Texas Timber floor plan to add some features that I would like?
This is where we excel... All of our plans can be modified to meet your design goals. Every log and timber home we sell is custom tailored to your specific wants and needs. In fact, you could give us a hand drawn floor plan and we can engineer the plan specifically for you. Plans on our website are just starting points. Every home we sell ends up being a custom home.
