Our Baby Bear Lodge Floor Plan is meticulously designed to blend comfort, luxury, and exquisite craftsmanship. This ranch-style log home plan can be designed with or without a lower level for even more living space. The log lodge plan features two to five bedrooms and two to five bathrooms, depending on whether you choose to add a basement.
With its open floor layout, the Baby Bear Lodge Floor Plan offers plenty of space for entertaining. The octagonal dining room connects to the kitchen, which features a large island, and this space flows into the great room. Outdoor living areas blend with the home, as a covered porch is located on one side of the great room, and a covered patio is near the entry, also off the great room. This lodge floor plan also features a cozy four-seasons room that is adaptable to all kinds of weather and can be used all year long.
This lodge design features large windows, which let in plenty of natural light and provide views of the landscape. An attached two-stall garage leads into the mudroom and laundry room, with a dog washing station. A large butler's pantry is located near the garage and the kitchen for added convenience.
On the main level of this lodge-style home floor plan, there is a powder room, ideal for guests. In addition to a master bedroom with a spa-like bathroom and walk-in closet, the Baby Bear Lodge Floor Plan has a full guest suite.
If designed with a finished lower level, this lodge-style home floor plan offers a rec room with a wet bar, three additional bedrooms and bathrooms, plenty of storage space, a safe room, and a mechanical room. A walk-out wall leads to a concrete patio with a fire pit.
The Baby Bear Lodge Floor Plan can be customized to suit your needs. Like all of our timber frame and log home floor plans, you can add or remove lofts, covered porches, garage stalls, prow walls, patios, and more. While this lodge-style floor plan is a log home, you can choose to make it a timber frame home design or a hybrid construction with both timber and logs. The lodge design can also be flipped in any orientation to better suit your property.

| Can I remove the attached garage from this plan? | |
| Certainly! We can easily remove the attached garage from the Baby Bear floor plan. (It may reduce the cost of the home as well.) | |
| The Baby Bear does not show a basement. Can I get this home with a basement (lower level)? | |
| Yes. Adding a basement is quite simple. And, the added benefit of adding a basement is that it increases your square footage with minimal cost. If you think about it, all you are doing is adding a little more to the foundation and a few support walls and you have nearly doubled the square footage. | |
| The Baby Bear floor plan is great. But, I'd like more bedrooms. Can a second floor or a loft level be added to the Baby Bear floor plan?. | |
| Definitely! On most floor plans it is extremely easy to add a second floor or a loft. Note, The main floor floor plan may have to be altered a little bit to add space for a stairway. Note, Second floors or lofts are an extremely easy way to add square footage to home without adding a tremendous amount of cost. Because, the roof structure would remain virtually the same, you're just adding walls. | |
| Can I make changes or customize the Baby Bear floor plan to add some features that I would like? | |
| This is where we excel... All of our plans can be modified to meet your design goals. Every log and timber home we sell is custom tailored to your specific wants and needs. In fact, you could give us a hand drawn floor plan and we can engineer the plan specifically for you. Plans on our website are just starting points. Every home we sell ends up being a custom home. | |
