Ultimate Cabin Floor Plan

The Ultimate Cabin is a small luxury log cabin home plan that lives up to its bold name with a completeness of amenity, a richness of authentic log character, and a depth of personal detail that genuinely sets it apart from every other plan in its class. Known by its real-world name as Eagle Ridge, this remarkable custom log home design sits atop a granite ridge on three and a half acres overlooking Newfound Lake in New Hampshire, one of the cleanest lakes in the world and home to a bird sanctuary and a nesting pair of bald eagles visible from the property on any given morning. So captivating is this home that it has earned recognition as the finest luxury log cabin Airbnb in all of New England, with guests regularly commenting that it is a place you simply must experience for yourself.

The exterior announces itself with hand peeled logs, hand selected stone that mirrors the natural granite of the ridge on which the home sits, quarter round windows, Pella aluminum clad energy efficient windows engineered for the unpredictable New England climate, and a smart enabled whole home generator that keeps life running seamlessly even through the most severe mountain weather. The open concept great room, kitchen, and dining area flow together with a natural warmth centered around a Hearthstone fireplace with a single piece granite surround and massive log mantle, sliding patio doors with interior screens that allow precise ventilation without fully opening to the elements, and wide plank hickory flooring laid to draw the eye outward toward the spectacular lake view. A piece of steel pulled from the rubble at Ground Zero of the World Trade Center towers, cut into the shape of New Hampshire and placed as a keystone above the fireplace chase, serves as a deeply moving tribute to the first responders who serve this nation and adds a layer of personal significance to this home that no other plan in the Golden Eagle Log and Timber Homes collection can claim.

The gourmet kitchen is appointed with top of the line Bosch and Monogram series appliances, a six burner gas cooktop, a wall mounted oven elevated to an ergonomically ideal height, rustic hickory cabinetry with wildlife carvings including a black bear on the island stools and a raccoon carved above, staggered wall cabinet heights and depths for outstanding dimension and storage, a walk-in pantry pull out, a single bowl stainless steel sink with Venetian bronze Delta faucet, under cabinet task lighting, and a conveniently located exterior garbage station that keeps the chef's workflow uninterrupted. The first-floor primary bedroom is a sanctuary of genuine rustic luxury, featuring a custom-made king-size bed with headboard and footboard of wormholed reclaimed wood, matching hope chest and nightstands, custom carved ceiling fan and wall sconces depicting wildlife native to the property, and dimmer controlled ambient lighting of exceptional thoughtfulness and warmth.

The Ultimate Cabin is available in two versions, just over 1,500 square feet without the lower level, or over 2,500 square feet with the optional walkout basement, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a two-stall garage with a smart deadbolt coded entry, a screened porch with drink rail, ambient lighting, dedicated coffee station, and dining table, a hot tub, and a lakeside fire pit and granite patio of exceptional beauty. For those who seek a small log cabin home plan that has been realized at the absolute highest level of personal craftsmanship, natural material beauty, and deeply meaningful detail, the Ultimate Cabin is an extraordinary dream home floor plan available in traditional log construction, timber frame construction, barndominium construction, as well as additional building styles, and fully customizable to reflect your most personal vision of the perfect luxury log home.

Ultimate Cabin Floor Plan FAQs

I like the Main Floor (first floor) of the Ultimate Cabin floor plan. But, I don't need a Loft (second floor) can I get a version without the loft (second floor)?
Yes. We can easily remove the loft, second floor, or a mezzanine. Thereby, converting the home to a ranch style home. (It may reduce the cost of the home as well.)

Can I make changes or customize the Ultimate Cabin floor plan to add some features that I would like?
This is where we excel... All of our plans can be modified to meet your design goals. Every log and timber home we sell is custom tailored to your specific wants and needs. In fact, you could give us a hand drawn floor plan and we can engineer the plan specifically for you. Plans on our website are just starting points. Every home we sell ends up being a custom home.

What Construction Styles are available for the Ultimate Cabin floor plan.
The Ultimate Cabin floor plan above is shown as a Traditional Log Home Package (square timbers, full/round-log, half/round-log, and more). However, we can also offer this plan as any of the following construction types (also referred to as packages):

I like this floor plan. However, I would like it flipped the other way around. Can it be flipped?
Absolutely! All of our floor plans are able to be flipped or rotated in any orientation to match the property, sun exposure, and your personal preferences.

Can I remove the attached garage from this plan?
Certainly! We can easily remove the attached garage from the Ultimate Cabin floor plan. (It may reduce the cost of the home as well.)

The Ultimate Cabin does not show a basement. Can I get this home with a basement (lower level)?
Yes. Adding a basement is quite simple. And, the added benefit of adding a basement is that it increases your square footage with minimal cost. If you think about it, all you are doing is adding a little more to the foundation and a few support walls and you have nearly doubled the square footage.
