Riverbend Floor Plan

The Riverbend is a small luxury log cabin home plan of understated elegance and genuine natural beauty, a beautifully intimate rustic log cabin home that delivers a fireplace anchored great room, sweeping views, an open concept living area, and a first-floor primary bedroom suite within a footprint of just under 1,500 square feet that is as efficiently composed as it is deeply livable. For those who believe that a truly well-designed home is measured not by its size but by the quality of its spaces, the warmth of its character, and the ease with which it connects you to the natural world beyond its walls, the Riverbend is a profoundly satisfying answer and one of the most charming small log home floor plans in the Golden Eagle Log and Timber Homes collection.

The open floor plan flows with a natural warmth and ease that makes the main living area feel immediately welcoming, centered around a commanding fireplace that anchors the great room with the kind of authentic ambiance that only genuine log construction can deliver. The first-floor bedroom provides a private retreat of real comfort and distinction, while the open loft extends the living experience beautifully with a light filled secondary space ideally suited to additional sleeping accommodations, a home office, or a serene reading retreat with elevated views of the surrounding landscape. First floor laundry ensures that the practical rhythms of daily life are handled with quiet efficiency, and a garage can be added in either an attached or detached configuration of virtually any size to suit the property and personal preferences of the homeowner.

The Riverbend is available in two versions, nearly 1,500 square feet without the lower level, or almost 2,500 square feet with the optional walkout basement, a remarkably efficient expansion that adds to the living space and introduces additional bedrooms and living areas of exceptional quality. With 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms as drawn, and the full flexibility to add a second loft bedroom, expand with a garage, or convert to a ranch style log home plan by removing the upper level, this custom log cabin home plan adapts gracefully to a wide range of lifestyles, budgets, and property types with equal elegance.

For those who seek a small log cabin home plan where a genuine connection to nature, open concept living, and the timeless warmth of authentic log craftsmanship come together in a footprint that is as manageable as it is magnificent, the Riverbend is an outstanding and deeply appealing choice. Available in traditional log construction, timber frame construction, barndominium construction, as well as additional building styles, and fully customizable to reflect your most personal dream home design, the Riverbend is a beautifully refined starting point for those ready to build their dream home in the enduring tradition of full log craftsmanship.

Riverbend Floor Plan FAQs

The Riverbend does not show a basement. Can I get this home with a basement (lower level)?
Yes. Adding a basement is quite simple. And, the added benefit of adding a basement is that it increases your square footage with minimal cost. If you think about it, all you are doing is adding a little more to the foundation and a few support walls and you have nearly doubled the square footage.

I like the Main Floor (first floor) of the Riverbend floor plan. But, I don't need a Loft (second floor) can I get a version without the loft (second floor)?
Yes. We can easily remove the loft, second floor, or a mezzanine. Thereby, converting the home to a ranch style home. (It may reduce the cost of the home as well.)

Can I make changes or customize the Riverbend floor plan to add some features that I would like?
This is where we excel... All of our plans can be modified to meet your design goals. Every log and timber home we sell is custom tailored to your specific wants and needs. In fact, you could give us a hand drawn floor plan and we can engineer the plan specifically for you. Plans on our website are just starting points. Every home we sell ends up being a custom home.

What Construction Styles are available for the Riverbend floor plan.
The Riverbend floor plan above is shown as a Traditional Log Home Package (square timbers, full/round-log, half/round-log, and more). However, we can also offer this plan as any of the following construction types (also referred to as packages):

I like this floor plan. However, I would like it flipped the other way around. Can it be flipped?
Absolutely! All of our floor plans are able to be flipped or rotated in any orientation to match the property, sun exposure, and your personal preferences.

Can I add an attached garage to this plan?
Certainly! We can easily add an attached garage to the Riverbend floor plan. Depending on the size of your property and the orientation of the home, you may be able to add several garage stalls.
